I could not agree more with this quote. As professionals in the early childhood field, it is our job to educate the children that come to us with the best of our ability; however it is also the job of the family and world around them to reinforce what is being taught. It is everyone working together that helps mold “the whole child”.
I have also chose the quote, "a child miseducated is a child lost." I agree with you that as professionals it is our job to teach ther children to best of our ability and to make sure that they have access to all available resources to help them achieve academic success. But like you said, it is also the parents job to reinforce what the child is learning and to provide them with guidence and support in school and out of school.
ReplyDeleteThis quote you selected says a lot. I totally agree with it because with all the potential we see in children, there should not be a child left miseducated. It is our duty as educators to bring out the best in them. Also not forgetting that it is a collective effort "It takes a village to bring up a child".
